Jump photos have been a big part of my life since 2005. As an effort to evolve as a jumper/jump-photographer, I proposed to my brother (also an avid jumpologist) that we would each take a new jump photo for every single day in 2011. It seemed daunting, but we rose to the challenge and created a portfolio larger than expected. Most days it was hard to choose only one photo to be added into the 365 collection (where other days there was just no spark). Since then, I've slowed down a considerable amount but continue to explore this form of photography. Please check back regularly for gravity defying poses as I continue on my journey for jumping greatness.

Got to meet Dimos Vrysellas today at CTN! Had a great time catching up with him and hearing all about his new projects. Then we jumped a bunch - Definitely one of the highlights of the trip! FLIGHT OF THE DANNYS!

Day 00052

Luke and I decided to enter Ellen Degeneres' underwear model contest and had one heck of a photo shoot. These were some of the best (...we had over 250 to choose from...)

Day 0322

Photo by Daniel Burns, Lakewood CO
I proposed to Katie today after sending her on a long scavenger hunt all over town (to the special locations of our past together). Had some amazing help from some great people, and Luke was the chauffeur at the end. She was very surprised and happy...and I was relieved that it all went smoothly (and that she said yes...). Awesome day.

Day 0223

Photo by Luke Burns, Leadville CO - Mt Elbert
Mt. Elbert summit jump. That right there is the highest you can be in the state of Colorado (without the aide of any flying contraption). Mt Elbert stands at 14,433 feet above sea level making it the 14th highest peak in the US (2nd if you exclude Alaska...), or the 27th highest point in North America. I'll be reaching this summit again because the view is...amazing. But what else would you expect when you are above everything else?

Day 0216

We climbed four 14ers today all before noon. Here are my jumps from each summit:

 Mt. Cameron 14,238

Panoramic jump for the final summit, Mt. Bross (14,172). The previous 3 summits can be seen in the background (Democrat about 1/3 in from the left is just poking above the horizon line, Cameron is below my hands, and Lincoln is to the right of my knee).
