Jump photos have been a big part of my life since 2005. As an effort to evolve as a jumper/jump-photographer, I proposed to my brother (also an avid jumpologist) that we would each take a new jump photo for every single day in 2011. It seemed daunting, but we rose to the challenge and created a portfolio larger than expected. Most days it was hard to choose only one photo to be added into the 365 collection (where other days there was just no spark). Since then, I've slowed down a considerable amount but continue to explore this form of photography. Please check back regularly for gravity defying poses as I continue on my journey for jumping greatness.

Day 0216
We climbed four 14ers today all before noon. Here are my jumps from each summit:
Mt. Democrat 14,148
Mt. Cameron 14,238
Mt. Lincoln 14,286
Panoramic jump for the final summit, Mt. Bross (14,172). The previous 3 summits can be seen in the background (Democrat about 1/3 in from the left is just poking above the horizon line, Cameron is below my hands, and Lincoln is to the right of my knee).

As I soar excitedly into 2012, I wanted to reflect a bit on the year of jumps:
This was an amazingly fun project and I feel like I really did evolve as a jumper (and jump photographer). Mostly, I felt limited with my equipment, so had to rely on creative shooting choices to get where I wanted to go, and there were lots of laughs during it all.
I would like to extend a major thanks to all my additional photographers over the past year, as well as all the amazing people that took flight with me. The support I've received has been amazing and I love you all. Appreciation goes out to Philippe Halsman and all the inspiration that he has sent my way, and finally I would like to acknowledge my amazing brother. This has been such an amazing journey and I've been so fortunate to have him alongside me every step of the way.
